Portugal is our workspace
We build cycling journeys across Portugal — and we're looking for people who would like to build them with us.

Bikes and workshop work, routes and travel planning, logistics across the country, and travellers from around the world. We're a small team, and most of us play more than one role.
Many roles. One journey.
Creating a great cycling journey involves much more than designing a route and preparing a bike. It brings together travel planning, bike mechanics, logistics, client support, research, communication and continuous development of the experience itself.

We're a small team, so these are roles — not necessarily separate jobs. Most of us work across several areas, and the exact mix can depend on experience, interests and strengths.

Sales & Trip Design
Understanding what a traveller is looking for and shaping the right journey around their experience, interests and expectations.

Travel Planning & Support
Routes, accommodation, trip materials and remote support before and during the journey.

Bike Workshop & Handover
Preparing, maintaining and setting up bikes and equipment, and making sure everything is ready for the traveller.

Logistics
Getting bikes, luggage and equipment to the right place at the right time — sometimes across Portugal.

Travel Research & Development
Exploring regions, testing routes, finding new places and developing new journeys and experiences.

Marketing & Brand
Sharing what we do, reaching new travellers and developing Gravel Travel as a brand.

Our base is in Setúbal
Our physical base is in Setúbal, just south of Lisbon. This is where our bikes live, where we prepare and maintain them, and where much of the practical side of Gravel Travel happens.

Not all of our work needs to be done from the office. Routes can be planned, accommodation researched and travellers supported from almost anywhere. We don't have a strict office schedule, and this gives our team a good degree of flexibility.

But we're not a remote-first company. Being here matters. You need to know the bikes, ride them, understand the equipment we give to our travellers, and stay connected to the practical side of what we do.

For that reason, living in Setúbal or within reasonable reach of our base makes working with us much easier.
What we value
We value responsibility, independence, curiosity and attention to detail more than a perfect CV.

You don't need to know everything from day one. But you should want to understand how things work, learn quickly and do things properly.

We're a small team, so being reliable and taking ownership of your work makes a real difference.
Maybe there's a place for you here
You may be an experienced professional looking for a different kind of work. Or you may be young, have little or no professional experience, but have the time, energy and motivation to learn. Both can be a good fit for us.

People come with different strengths — travel, operations, sales, working with clients, mechanics, technology, communication, or something we haven't thought of yet. We don't expect one person to be good at everything, and we're open to shaping responsibilities around the right person.

Right now, we have a particular need for help with bikes and day-to-day operations. But if Gravel Travel sounds like a place where you'd like to work and you think you could contribute, we'd be happy to hear from you.
