Year-Round Riding
Thanks to its mild Mediterranean climate, Portugal’s southern half — including the Alentejo, Algarve, and Costa Vicentina — offers excellent cycling conditions year-round. Even in January, daytime highs often reach 15–20°C (59–68°F), with sunshine and minimal rain.
Autumn (mid-Sept to mid-Dec) is especially perfect: dry, calm, and warm. Spring and early summer bring green hills and cool breezes — ideal for long rides.
